Yes, we heard the news. The 28 years old actor was currently finishing post production of his Joker part in new Batman movie, Dark Knights. We noticed him for the first time in 1999’s 10 Things I Hate About You (as Patrick Verona).

Then he obtained leading role as Sir William Thatcher (a.k.a Sir Ulrich von Lichtenstein of Gelderland) in 2001’s A Knight’s Tale. Not really a good movie though, but luckily he got several better role in 2001’s Monster’s Ball (as Sonny Grotowski) and 2005’s The Brothers Grimm (as Jacob Grimm).

The most noted play of his was in Ang Lee’s Brokeback Mountain. He played Ennis Del Mar who had forbidden love with guy pair, Jack Twist (played by Jack Gyllenhaal). He was nominated in Academy Awards because of the role.
