It spreads out that Golden Compass, the first of His Dark Trilogy, turned out to has an anti religion theme. The movie that being released last December has drawing concerned from Christian. Is it really true?
His Dark Trilogy (paperback and hardcover) is created by Phillip Pullman, award winner for children literature in 1995 and 1997, who reveal himself as devoted atheist. The series themselves tell about the adventure of streetwise girl who travels through multiple worlds populated by witches, armored-plated bears, and assassins to defeat the oppressive forces of senile God.
Pullman himself told that he doesn’t profess any religion. He doesn’t think it’s possible that there is a God. He has the greatest difficulty in understanding what is meant by the words ’spiritual’ or ’spirituality’. So be careful when you accompany your children watching the movie.
